This is My Dad, Jack Lardy

This is how my company started. I would say it’s his, but he would say it’s mine. Jack’s Toy Store is named for my Dad. When I was a kid we didn't have a whole lot but my Dad could make a whole lot out of what we had. The pedal cars were sought after because I remembered my Dad bringing home pedal cars from people tossing them out on his mail route. Yes my Dad was a Milk Man, Mail Man and Production Set Up Man for McDonnell Douglas over time. He loved finding something broken, fixing it and making it work again.

Needless to say he hauled a lot of things home. Overtime he brought home a Pedal Tractor, Fire Truck and an Airplane. Most of these had a broken wheel. We would go to the store together and buy a new wheel. He would then put the new one on and then it was rideable again. My Mom was in charge of paint. She painted everything and made it look like new all over again. This is what I call a family business.
